Global Mental Health Solutions is an international mental health platform and consulting initiative.

We believe better mental health systems are built by people who are bold enough to challenge what isn’t working, curious enough to keep learning, and committed enough to build something better together. GMHS helps partners move from evidence to implementation, from stand-alone interventions to integration within public systems, and from global ambition to contextually relevant solutions.

Meet the founders

GMHS is co-founded by clinicians, researchers, lived experience experts, public mental health practitioners and interdisciplinary specialists with experience across public, private, not-for-profit, academic and international settings.

Our team combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of policy, advocacy and implementation. We bring together diverse perspectives, disciplines and geographic experience, bridging local, regional and global contexts to support meaningful and sustainable systems change.

Our Ethos

We believe better mental health systems are built by people who are bold enough to challenge what is not working, curious enough to keep learning, and committed enough to build something better together.

At GMHS, we bring together people, expertise and lived experience across borders and disciplines to turn ideas into meaningful action. We believe that the complexity of mental health demands more than expertise alone. It demands curiosity, courage, partnership and humility, so that we can dare, learn, iterate and deepen our understanding of the contexts in which change must happen.

Our values

GMHS is values-driven and maintains a public-benefit orientation in how it selects work, builds partnerships and delivers assignments.

We are audacious.

We are willing to question convention, challenge assumptions and imagine what could be possible. We do not accept that the way things have always been done is the way they should be done.

We are pragmatic.

Ideas matter when they can make a difference in the real world. We focus on solutions that are practical, context-aware and built to work, translating expertise into strategies, tools and approaches that people can actually use.

We believe in solidarity.

No one changes systems alone. We work as a collective, sharing knowledge, responsibility and opportunity. We value the strength of networks and believe that progress is greater when it is built together.

We are curious.

We ask questions, listen deeply and remain open to what we do not yet know, including ideas that may challenge our own viewpoints. We learn from evidence, experience and one another, recognising that valuable insights can come from unexpected places and a plurality of voices.

We make inclusion essential, not optional.

Lived experience and local expertise are not additions to our work; they are fundamental to it. We create space for different perspectives, cultures, disciplines and ways of knowing because better solutions emerge when more people have a meaningful role in shaping them.

We are here to connect people and ideas, strengthen systems and help turn ambition into lasting change for everyone affected by mental health—which ultimately means all of us.

We stand for equity.

Mental health is a universal right. We seek to challenge the structural inequalities that shape who has access to care, whose knowledge is valued and whose voices are heard. We work towards systems in which opportunity, dignity and wellbeing are not determined by where someone is born or the circumstances in which they live.

Work with a partner who understands both the ambition and the implementation challenge.
